Concepts of Print: Left to Right Directionality
• Write a sentences.
• Place a green dot under the first word, and a red dot on the last word
(green means go and red means stop).
Match Lowercase Letters
• Give students one set of Lowercase Letters
• Place one set of letters around the room. Have students find their match.
Review Name:
• Distribute Name Cards
• Post a number cards on the white board.
• Have students count the letters in their name and place their name under the numbers on the board.
Pacing & Spiral Review (of sight words/skills)
• Using sight word flashcards of the words you taught, model how to review these with a partner.
